Pink Glow

600 MM X 900 MM

Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on Hahnemuhle paper - Black aluminum frame with museum grade glass

For this image I put a light inside a shoe and made it shine through the decorative holes in the soft pink suede leather. The shallow depth of field is used to create a mystical dreamy atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the soft texture and warm colors. I turned and cropped the image to invite the viewer to wonder, by following the dots of light, what world lies beyond the image.

This abstract photograph captures a close-up view of a vivid pink surface punctured by a rhythmic constellation of small perforations. Light spills through each opening, creating a sequence of glowing points that drift diagonally across the frame. The contrast between the soft, velvety texture of the surface and the sharp brilliance of the light lends the image a tactile, almost sculptural quality.

Stripped of scale and context, the subject becomes ambiguous—hovering between architecture, textile, and celestial map. The warm pink tones are energized by the luminous highlights, evoking a sense of quiet movement and intimacy. The composition invites the viewer to slow down and explore the interplay of color, light, and repetition, transforming a minimal detail into a contemplative visual experience.
