Ascension

600 MM X 900 MM

Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on Hahnemuhle paper - Black aluminum frame with museum grade glass

This latest work is the result of a refined search for a way to create a dreamy almost mythical or religious atmosphere by combining studio lights, color gels and opaque materials to make this image less photographic but all the more artistic.

Gallery text:

This atmospheric photograph transforms recognizable forms into a soft, dreamlike apparition. Viewed through a veil of diffused light and shifting color, the shapes hover between presence and disappearance, their contours only faintly anchored within a luminous field of blues, violets, and iridescent tones. The image resists clarity and instead invites a slower, more intuitive way of seeing—one that engages with memory, sensation, and the trace of form rather than its definition.

A gentle vertical rhythm suggests quiet ascent, as if the shapes are drifting upward through a weightless, suspended space. Edges dissolve into atmosphere, turning reflective surfaces into painterly gradients and subtle chromatic transitions. The work becomes a meditation on perception and transformation, where materiality gives way to light and structure dissolves into aura. Hovering between the tangible and the immaterial, the image evokes fragility, stillness, and the fleeting nature of presence.
